Here’s a skirt I made last year which will be shown at our school fashion show next weekend. It’s made out of the lightest shade of pink taffeta.

Experimenting with ink portraits for my exit exam cover page. We had to design two collections within a line and choose two looks to produce as an in class exam. I’m working
on the first two from the picture below.
The concept of “zero” is going back to the starting point of fashion: what it is to own something meaningful. To value aesthetics and functionality, the feel of the fabric, the quality of the cut. “0″ is melancholic yet optimistic. I was inspired by the DIY ethos of fluxus and mid sixties minimalism and textural techniques.
I made this playlist for late night pattern cutting and sewing but I’m sure it’s good for other activities like making coffee in the morning or doing laundry in the afternoon.
