Skirt Project
Here’s a skirt I made last year which will be shown at our school fashion show next weekend. It’s made out of the lightest shade of pink taffeta.

Here are my boards for “In Process,” my school’s creativity story for the end of the year fashion show, and a sketch of my final look!
The concept of “zero” is going back to the starting point of fashion: what it is to own something meaningful. To value aesthetics and functionality, the feel of the fabric, the quality of the cut. “0″ is melancholic yet optimistic. I was inspired by the DIY ethos of fluxus and mid sixties minimalism and textural techniques.

My design was among the 7 to be chosen by LaSalle College for the Telio semi-finals! It didn’t get into the 25 that are chosen in the entire country but I’m still really proud. The theme was “Overexposed.”
It’s the first day of a short vacation before school starts again. I had to have a fun little photo shoot, featuring 2 dresses I made this summer.
