Over this Christmas break I made this little dress, using this great two faced fabric I posted in my first blog post. I used the ever so inspiring & mentally stimulating book, Pattern Magic. For the pattern I started with a simple short bodice block and transferred the darts into the circle & center front seam. Then I just added diagonal lines from the hip to shape the skirt. It took three few days, two muslin samples and a lot of coffee to complete!

You did a great job! I got the Pattern Magic books recently and I’m going to start working on a dress similar to yours, with the same circle insertion in a basic bodice. Can’t wait to see it finished
